EU Memorial Plaque – A Required Element for EU-Funded Projects

For projects financed from EU structural funds or the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP), an information plaque is mandatory. It is not an optional extra – it is a contractual obligation of the grant recipient.

European Commission Requirements

  • EU logo referencing the relevant fund
  • Logo of the Operational Programme
  • Project title and optionally the grant amount
  • Dark blue background (Pantone 286 / #003399)

Why Granite Instead of Sheet Metal?

The EU requires that the plaque remain visible for at least 5 years after project completion. Granite does not fade, does not rust, and withstands weather and vandalism. Aluminium signs deteriorate within a few years – granite remains unchanged.
