The basis of our products' durability is the raw material. We work exclusively on selected black granite (including Swedish or Impala types). It is a stone with an exceptionally dense structure, which translates into almost zero water absorption. Why is this crucial in the case of a granite memorial heart?

Water is the stone's biggest enemy. If granite is porous, water penetrates its structure and freezes during frosts, bursting micro-pores. Our selected plates with a mirror shine are naturally resistant to this phenomenon. What's more, only deep, uniform black provides the perfect "negative" for diamond engraving, allowing for a powerful contrast without the use of chemical dyes that could peel off after a few seasons.

Mounting Instructions – Solidity in a Few Steps

As craftsmen who care about final quality, we advise on how to properly seat the heart. Natural granite is heavy (weight from 12 kg upwards, depending on the size), which ensures its stability.

When mounting on flat gravestone slabs, we recommend using colorless stonemasonry silicone. If the heart is to stand directly on the ground (e.g., in a garden), it is worth preparing a small foundation of paving stones or a concrete base to prevent the stone from settling in the ground under its own weight.

• STEP 2: Submission of photo and text. We will take care of the retouching and prepare the text composition.
• STEP 3: Free Visualization. We will send you the project for approval. Nothing will be cut in stone without your "YES".
• STEP 4: Hand Finishing. Every heart passes through the hands of a stonemason who polishes the bevels (edges) and checks the quality of the engraving before shipping.

Technical Secret: Why do we polish the edges (bevels)?
Every plaque of ours has a so-called bevel, i.e., delicately cut and polished edges at a 45-degree angle. This is not just an aesthetic element. The bevel removes micro-stresses on the edges of the granite, which prevents chipping during transport and assembly. This is a small detail that distinguishes a professional stonemasonry product from mass production.
