Is granite frost-proof and suitable for outdoor use year-round?
Yes. Natural granite is one of the most weather-resistant materials available. Its crystalline structure does not absorb water, so freezing temperatures will not cause cracking or spalling. Yorkshire Terrier gravestones made of granite have been proven to withstand decades of outdoor exposure without any treatment.
How many characters fit on the inscription?
Up to 40 characters are included in the base price. Each additional character costs 2 PLN (~0.50 EUR). A typical inscription for a Yorkshire Terrier memorial includes the dog's name (8–12 chars), dates (14–16 chars) and a short farewell line (10–15 chars) — usually around 35–45 characters total.
What is a porcelain photo insert and is it worth choosing?
A porcelain insert is a full-colour photo of your dog fired onto a ceramic tile and set flush into the granite. Unlike diamond engraving — which is monochrome — the porcelain shows the real colours and markings of your Yorkie. Available in two sizes: 8×11 cm (+120 PLN) and 9×12 cm (+140 PLN). You can choose either a diamond portrait or a porcelain insert — not both on the same stone.
How do I install the gravestone outdoors or in a garden?
The included granite wedge supports the slab at an angle of approximately 75°. Push the wedge a few centimetres into the ground and lean the stone against it. On hard surfaces (concrete, paving), use stone-grade silicone sealant or mounting tape — no drilling required.
How long does production take?
Standard production time is 5–10 working days from approval of the digital preview. During peak seasons (spring and autumn) it may be up to 14 days. If you need it urgently, please contact us before ordering to check express availability.
