We made a granite memorial plaque to commemorate Zofia Plutowa for the school in Pławno. It was made from black granite. Holes were drilled in the corners. Anchors and decorative rosettes are included in the package.

Every local community has its heroes — people who left an indelible mark through their lives and work. One of the most beautiful ways to pay tribute to them is a memorial plaque. An excellent example of such a realisation is the plaque we had the honour of making in Pławno.
Project goal: Commemorating Zofia Plutowa
The task we were set was to create a lasting and noble commemoration of Zofia Plutowa (1909–1996) — long-serving headmistress of the primary school in Pławno and a teacher who devoted her entire active life to the local community. The project was initiated by the school management and the association “Development of Pławna Village”.
The goal was to create a memorial that not only survives the years but also worthily honours a person who “transformed the school into a vibrant educational and cultural institution”.
Choice of material and technique
The choice of material was obvious — only granite could meet the challenge of creating a memorial for generations. Its timeless elegance and legendary durability guarantee that the plaque will retain its immaculate appearance for decades.
- Stone: Dark, subdued granite — perfect contrast to the light engraving, lending the project the necessary gravitas.
- Portrait and lettering: In addition to the inscription, we also placed a precisely executed portrait of Zofia Plutowa on the plaque. Both the image and the entire text were executed using sandblasting technique, ensuring extraordinary durability and legibility.
This realisation is an excellent example of how versatile a memorial plaque can be — serving not only as a gravestone element but also as a standalone monument in public space.
