🌹 Preserve a Look That Lasts
A porcelain photo is a way to preserve authenticity and closeness for decades. In the Cempulik studio, our 8×11 cm porcelain photos are handcrafted works where the image is permanently fused with the glaze at temperatures exceeding 850°C. Choosing the 8×11 cm format (classic oval) is the most frequent decision of our customers – it is large enough for the face to be clear, yet subtle enough to blend perfectly with the headstone.

🎨 Creation Process: From an Old Photograph to an Eternal Memory
Many of our customers fear that their photo is too damaged or small. In our workshop, this process begins with advanced digital restoration. We remove cracks, official stamps, or paper creases.
Free Visualization and Design
We do not fire the photo “blindly”. After preparing the retouching, we send a digital project for your approval. At this stage, we can still change the attire (e.g., to more formal) or select a background that best emphasizes the dignity of the commemoration.
🛠️ Assembly Methods – Craftsman’s Advice
A porcelain photo can be mounted independently, maintaining the highest aesthetics and durability. We offer three proven methods:
- Surface Mounting (Silicone): The most popular method. We use transparent frost-resistant silicone. Requires thorough degreasing of the granite slab.
- Stone Adhesive Mounting: Provides extreme bonding strength. Ideal in areas prone to vandalism or very strong winds.
- Recessed Mounting (Niche): The most prestigious solution. Requires milling a hole approx. 2 mm deep in the granite, where we “flush” the photo with the stone surface.
[FAQ]
Question: Will the photo on porcelain fade in the sun after a few years?
Answer: Definitely not. Ceramic pigments are “fused” under a layer of glaze during firing at temperatures exceeding 850°C. This guarantees full resistance to UV radiation and a 25-year warranty on color durability.
Question: My photo is very old and damaged. Is it suitable for printing?
Answer: Yes. Our team of graphic designers specializes in restoring old photographs. We remove creases, stamps, and other damage. This service is included in the product price.
Question: Can I see the project before firing?
Answer: Mandatory! After retouching, we always send a digital project for your approval. Only after receiving your “OK” do we start the kiln.
Question: How long does the production take?
Answer: Usually from 7 to 10 business days. This results from the need for precise graphic processing and a multi-hour firing and cooling cycle of the porcelain.
Question: Is the porcelain resistant to severe frost?
Answer: Yes, we use only hard Italian porcelain that does not absorb moisture, making it 100% frost-resistant.
Question: Can I order a color photo from a black and white original?
Answer: Yes, we offer a professional digital photo colorization service that gives the memorial a modern and natural look.
