The secret of our plaques lies in the material. We use selected Swedish black granite (or Bengali Black), characterized by extreme hardness and zero moisture absorption. In a changing climate, this is the most important parameter. While other materials may crumble or gray after a few years, our granite memorial hearts remain flawless for decades.

The deep black of the stone provides the perfect contrast for engravings. We do not use dyes or surface paints for portraits – the intensity of the image results from the physical structure of the stone itself and our precision with the diamond needle.

For model #14, we recommend diamond needle engraving of the portrait. This is a physical process where a precisely controlled head with a diamond blade strikes millions of dots into the granite. Deep Sandblasted Lettering – Readability for Generations

Inscriptions on the plaque must be legible and durable. We use deep sandblasting, which creates physical recesses in the stone. We standardly paint the letters with specialized UV-resistant paints in gold, silver, or white. This ensures that the name and dates of your loved one will remain clear even in difficult lighting conditions.

Slanted Installation – Aesthetics and Self-Cleaning

Product #14 is designed to be installed at an angle. To achieve this, we use a supporting granite wedge. This has not only aesthetic values – beautifully exposing the heart – but also practical ones. Rainwater freely flows down the slanted, polished surface, taking away dust and dirt, making the monument almost maintenance-free.
